1m3

12/2019 - Paris

After seeing a documentary on micro housing in Hong Kong, I was curious to experience how it feels to live in a very small space.

I designed a 1m3 volume allowing a human to lie down, sit down and turn around.

Inspired by the capsule hotels in Japan and the habitable sculptures of Abraham Poincheval, I then decided to live in this space myself for 24 hours. This experience allowed me to improve the overall structure of the volume and to understand the necessary arrangements inside.

Wood, foam, screws, rubber bands, metal wire, sausage, m&m's, water.
